We welcome Newbies!
Hello Newbies!
We put this together to give you the best start in the wonderful world of alchemy. We will tall about the basics to get you going, who to talk to, what to expect and anything else we can think of.
To start off, short of coming down to the guild yourself, each faction normally has its own High Alchemist (See opposite for your faction High Alchemist). They are our go between, from us to the faction they represent. We will use them to pass on information to the faction or vice versa.
For you though, they tend know the ins and outs of alchemy, the majority are good traders and may be a good resource if you have any questions (If they cant answer them, they will know someone who can. Namely, us). Ask them to bring you down to the guild or come down on your own and meet the team.
When you come down you'll be greeted by one of two things. Either someone on the desk, or the massive queue in front of her. At the very beginning of an event this is just a queue for herbs (We will talk about this later). You should be able to circumvent this and just pop in and say hi.
To be honest, we are always busy, so it doesn't really matter when you arrive, just come down and introduce yourself. Were a good bunch, always eager to help, with a slight hint of madness.
Now the important bit. To join our wonderful guild, we need your cold hard cash.
One Stell, if you just want to join, and you dont have Poison or Potion Lore
Two Stell, if you do have Poison lore or Potion lore.
(Dont bring copper, youll only be shouted at)
Remember, with only the Lore skills, you can only tell what a potion or poison is in the bottle, or discern what is wrong with someone should they become poisoned. You cant create until you gain the requisite "Create X" skill.
So, why is it more expensive to join, if I cant even make anything yet? Because you, unlike the rest, have something to gain. Hang out with us, we can teach you skills to create, tutor you in the practicality's, and help you out with any questions. And most importantly, access to our labs so you can start producing stuff.
Your membership will last until the Spring Moot the year after, regardless of when you pay your membership.
